Postmortem

Over the weekend we completed steps 2 of 3 of our physical database infrastructure upgrade. On Monday morning an oversight to expand a default connection configuration resulted in a partial outage as normal morning load came onto the network. The disruption also affected the collection of billing records during this time.

For those that are interested, we are now operating on a MySQL multi node cluster with geographical redundancy managed by high availability geographically redundant proxies. Over the following two weeks, following the final shut down of the YourCloudTelco platform we will migrate the last of our billing systems across to the new environment. Unlike last weekends migration, we do not anticipate any disruption to service in this final migration.
